Event-specific Real-time loop-mediated isothermal amplification for two approved Bt cotton events (MON531, MON15985) and four GM maize events (NK603, MON810, GA21, TC1507)
Technology Details:
Event-specific Real-time LAMP technology targeting Bt cotton events MON531 and MON15985 approved in the country, efficiently detects the target events with the LOD as low as 0.01%. It allows rapid on-site detection and identification of these events, where positive amplification is detected real-time during the progress of reaction as amplification and melting curves by the measurement of fluorescence. Similarly, Event-specific Real-time LAMP targeting imported GM maize events, viz., NK603, MON810, GA21, TC1507, allows detection of these events with LOD of 0.1%.
